Role Summary
The Senior C++ Developer applies strong software engineering principles and deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle to design, build, and guide the delivery of high-performance and scalable solutions.
This role is primarily focused on modern C++ development, contributing to the core logic and performance-critical components of an Office Add-in, while also supporting backend and integration layers using Node.js and TypeScript.
The position includes architectural input, mentoring engineers, and ensuring seamless integration between native components and web-based technologies within the Office Add-in ecosystem.
What You’ll Be Doing

Design, develop, and maintain performance-critical components using modern C++, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.

Contribute to the development of an Office Add-in, enabling seamless integration between native C++ components and web-based technologies.

Build and support backend services and integration layers using Node.js and TypeScript.

Act as a subject-matter expert in C++ development, advising on architecture, performance optimization, memory management, and interoperability.

Design and implement solutions that bridge native code with Office Add-in technologies (e.g., APIs, interop layers, or service communication).

Produce clean, efficient, and well-tested code; conduct thorough code reviews to uphold engineering standards and best practices.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features aligned with business and user needs.

Take ownership of deliverables, working independently while mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and engineering-driven culture.
What You’ll Bring

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering

Strong professional experience in modern C++, including:

Memory management and performance optimization
-
Multithreading and concurrency
-
Building robust and efficient application logic
-

Experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend services and integration layers.

Solid experience across the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment.

Experience designing scalable systems and applying appropriate design patterns.

Familiarity with API design (REST and/or GraphQL), authentication/authorization, and service integration.

Strong knowledge of testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end).

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices is a plus.
