About the Role
This role leads supply chain planning activities across Greater China, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, new product introduction (NPI), and network optimisation.
The focus is to deliver reliable service, strong inventory performance, and efficient end-to-end planning while supporting ongoing improvement and digital transformation.
You will also be a member of the Greater China Supply Chain Leadership Team, contributing to capability development and transformation priorities.
What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end supply chain planning, including demand and supply planning, S&OP, and customer fulfilment to support reliable delivery and customer experience
- Work closely with cross-functional partners such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and global teams to deliver business outcomes
- Build, support, and develop a high-performing planning team, encouraging collaboration, clarity, and continuous learning
- Improve planning processes and ways of working to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance overall performance
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and compliant operations
- Identify supply chain risks (e.g., supply disruption, logistics delays, market factors) and implement mitigation and continuity plans
- Deliver short-, medium-, and long-term performance across operational, financial, and strategic KPIs
- Optimise supply chain network decisions, including in-house vs. third-party operations, logistics flow, and inventory deployment
- Lead the S&OP process to align demand and supply, improve forecast accuracy, and balance service levels with inventory efficiency
- Own supply planning processes (DRP, MPS, MRP, NPI, hub planning) to ensure capacity and materials meet demand requirements
- Support and accelerate supply chain transformation initiatives, including the use of digital tools and data-driven solutions
- Strengthen planning capabilities, moving toward more proactive and insight-driven decision making
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the China supply chain strategy over a multi-year horizon
- Act as a leadership team member, supporting team effectiveness and organisational development
- Encourage a performance-focused, inclusive team environment and allocate resources to achieve the best outcomes
Decision Scope
Accountable for supply chain planning and purchasing decisions within agreed business and governance frameworks.
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- A Master’s degree is a plus
- Strong English communication skills to work effectively with global teams
Experience
- Strong experience in supply chain planning, including demand, supply, and inventory planning
- Experience leading planning teams or managing responsibilities within supply or demand management
- Hands-on experience with planning systems (e.g., MRPII or similar tools)
- Experience working across global or shared service environments
- Proven track record of delivering improvement initiatives, operational optimisation, or transformation programmes
- Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations and strategy
- Ability to solve complex problems and translate strategy into practical actions
- Financial awareness and understanding of operational performance drivers
- Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are beneficial
Skills
- Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams across functions and geographies
- Clear communication skills (written and spoken)
- Experience managing complex initiatives and delivering results within agreed timelines
- Familiarity with supply chain systems and data tools
- Ability to support team development and create a positive and inclusive working environment
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
