Job description
Engineer 1 – Engineer-To-Order
As an Engineer 1 within the Completions, Wellbore Construction, and Interventions (CWI) product lines, you will focus on designing and documenting product changes to meet customized customer requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to product performance initiatives, and uphold engineering excellence through quality, compliance, and innovation. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and ownership of engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer 1, you will be responsible for:

Translating technical requirements into complete designs within the CWI product line. You will manage multiple requests to ensure timely delivery aligned with customer needs and requirements. Each design must be functional, manufacturable, and reliable.

Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, primarily SolidWorks.

Performing engineering analyses, including stress, fatigue, thermal, and tolerance evaluations.

Selecting appropriate material grades to meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Ensuring all designs and drawings comply with company standards and industry codes (e.g., API, ISO), with particular attention to tolerances and material specifications.

Maintaining proper document control, including versioning and the generation of Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Ensuring customer requirements are met by effectively communicating technical information to internal and external stakeholders.

Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards in all activities.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will:
-
Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from an accredited university.

Have at least 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in downhole completions technologies.

Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Possess a solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

Be proficient in SolidWorks.

Have hands-on experience in design and analysis through academic or professional projects.

Have knowledge of detailing, materials, and standard manufacturing processes.

Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, and molding.

Understanding of quality tools such as FMEA or root cause analysis.
