Join our Summer Trainee Program.
The Baker Hughes Summer Trainee Program is designed to give students and recent graduates hands-on work experience that helps build the foundation for their professional careers. In this role, you will gain first-hand insight into the processes, systems, and practices that support strong execution and help meet business and customer needs through effective materials management and operational support.

As a Summer Trainee, you will participate in focused training, team meetings, and project-based work, and you will have the opportunity to present your results. Throughout the programme, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager to ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can also expect coaching and mentoring to help you complete assignments and continue developing your skills.
You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with Baker Hughes’ Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) standards and culture, as well as the company’s strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
As an Equipment Maintenance Summer Trainee, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting general workshop and equipment maintenance tasks as part of day-to-day operations.
- Helping with packing and preparing equipment for operational use.
- Assisting with second-hand lifting and other practical workshop support tasks, in line with safety procedures.
- Supporting equipment handling, preparation, and general maintenance-related activities in the workshop environment
- Contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a practical and motivated individual who enjoys hands-on work.
- Exposure to workshop-related tasks.
- Be able to provide references related to previous practical or workshop work, if available.
- Be interested in learning more about the oil and gas industry and wider business environment.
- Be a good team player with strong communication skills in Norwegian and English.
- Be able to legally work in Norway without company sponsorship
- Be willing to work in Tananger
