Job description

Our platform gives the world’s most ambitious enterprises the data-driven precision, real-time monitoring, and framework-compliant reporting required to confidently deploy capital toward high-impact Climate Performance Asset portfolios and true, measurable climate action.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join us on this frontier. This is a role for a high-impact Finance professional who excels at driving key financial processes and generating quantitative insights, which will help the top management team make strategic and operational decisions that are essential for continued growth.

Your mission

  • Take ownership & drive the month-end closing process by preparing key accounting information and collaborating closely with external accountants to finalize the monthly financial records in Datev.

  • Support in preparing monthly investor reporting and quarterly Board Meeting materials.

  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting process, track actual performance against forecast, analyze variances, and share insights with other CEEZER leaders.

  • Assist external accountants with preparation of annual reports and third-party audits

  • Manage internal expense system to ensure accurate expense records and timely processing of accounts payables.

  • Prepare & issue client invoices, track payment status and proactively follow up on overdue payments.

  • Participate in external due diligence processes such as fundraising

  • Continuously improve, streamline and automate Finance processes to drive scalability of the Finance function

What you need to succeed

  • A Bachelor's, Master’s, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with 3+ years of professional experience in a relevant role.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in accounting principles (e.g., HGB, , GAAP) and operations (incl. month-end close process), cost controlling, AP and AR management

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for financial modelling

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail, ensuring high degree of accuracy and reliability across all tasks & outputs

  • A proactive, hands-on mentality with a demonstrated ability to thrive and effectively manage responsibilities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Professional fluency in English required, German fluency is a plus

  • A valid work permit in Germany.
