Job description
WHO WE ARE:
As Singapore’s longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932. How? By taking the time to truly understand people. From there, we provide support, services, solutions, and career paths that meet their individual needs and desires.
Today, we’re on a journey of transformation. Leveraging technology and creativity to become a future-ready learning organisation. But for all that change, our strategic ambition is consistently clear and bold, which is to be Asia’s leading financial services partner for a sustainable future.
We invite you to build the bank of the future. Innovate the way we deliver financial services. Work in friendly, supportive teams. Build lasting value in your community. Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career.
Your Opportunity Starts Here.
- Oversee and ensure a robust end-to-end policy management framework within the Risk function.
- Manage timely review and renewal of credit policies to ensure risk standards and practices remain relevant, effective, and aligned with evolving regulatory and business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to applicable Group policies, including timely adoption and clear identification of any material deviations.
- Maintain consistency between local risk policies and Group standards, while ensuring compliance with dual regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain local credit policies that are fit-for-purpose, addressing specific risk exposures and local regulatory expectations.
- Establish and enforce disciplined policy governance, including structured communication protocols to ensure clarity and awareness across stakeholders.
- Engage and collaborate with relevant stakeholders across Business, Risk, and Compliance to ensure policies are practical, implementable, and aligned with customer and operational considerations.
- Establish and monitor portfolio-level risk indicators to identify potential problem accounts early and implement proactive remediation strategies to mitigate credit losses.
- Develop and drive portfolio management strategies, particularly for higher-risk segments, to optimise risk-return outcomes.
Requirements:
- A recognized Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in retail lending or credit risk management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with good knowledge of statistical techniques and portfolio analytics methodologies.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to engage effectively across stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver within tight timelines.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and service excellence.
What we offer:
Competitive base salary. A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle. Community initiatives. Industry-leading learning and professional development opportunities. Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers.
