Job Title: Reporting and Impacts Manager (Community Funding)
Location: SPHQ, Glasgow
Salary from £55,200 to £69,000 + upto 15% Bonus + Single Medical Cover

SP Energy Networks (SPEN) is delivering a once‑in‑a‑generation programme of investment through its Community Benefits Funding programme, delivering hundreds of millions of pounds of benefits associated with transmission infrastructure.
The Reporting & Impact Manager role has been created to strengthen regulatory , financial control and impact reporting across the Community Benefits portfolio. The role leads the development and operation of audit‑ready reporting, budgetary tracking and governance arrangements, ensuring full compliance with Ofgem licence conditions and UK Government requirements.
This is a critical role in mitigating regulatory and financial risk, evidencing value and impact for communities, and protecting SPEN from penalties linked to non‑compliance.
What you’ll be doing

Lead and develop a Reporting & Impact function responsible for , financial control and reporting across the Community Benefits Funding programme.

Own delivery of all regulatory, licence‑driven, business and ad‑hoc reporting, including the Regulatory Reporting Pack (RRP).

Ensure all financial records and reporting processes are audit‑ready at all times, with clear evidence and traceability.

Design and maintain robust financial trackers and interfaces covering:
- Internal programme costs (staffing, fund promotion/marketing and general expenditure)
- External funding distribution across the three funding pots:
- Grassroots Grants
- Local Grants
- Regional Grants

Maintain clear oversight of funding within each pot, tracking:
- Funds available
- Funds committed and approved
- Funds distributed to communities
- Funds remaining and forecast profiles

Ensure proportionate oversight and balance of allocations across all three funding pots.

Maintain accurate records that provide full traceability from budget allocation through to distribution, impact and regulatory reporting.

Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that clearly evidence social, economic and environmental impacts delivered for communities.

Lead procurement and contract activity, ensuring appropriate frameworks and robust legal agreements are in place to protect SPEN.

Work closely with finance, procurement, regulation and teams to ensure coordinated delivery and compliance.

Raise the profile, credibility and confidence in Community Benefits reporting and impact evidence across the business.
What you’ll bring
- Degree‑level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in financial management, regulatory reporting and , ideally within a regulated utilities or infrastructure environment.
- Proven experience developing and operating governance, reporting and financial control frameworks for high‑value programmes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and regulatory information for senior audiences.
- leadership and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail and professional judgement.
