Job description
Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Procurement Officer (m/f) to join our Procurement department based in Toulouse.
You will join the Procurement department, a cornerstone of our future-ready industrial transformation. Within this department, our goal is to design, lead, and unlock the full potential of our Sustainable Supply Chain Roadmap (SSCR) to de-risk current operational flows and actively prepare our procurement ecosystem for future milestones up to 2030 and beyond.
The modern industrial landscape is marked by immense challenges: massive production ramp-ups, rapidly evolving substance regulations, and the inherent complexity of maintaining business continuity while driving long-term value chain circularity.
As part of this team, your assignment will be highly collaborative, working within a matrix mission where we interface across all divisions, affiliates, and key external industry bodies (such as the IAEG and the Airbus Supplier Council - ASSC). Acting under the lead of the Resource and Material Stream Leader, you will have a high focus on substance transparency, anticipation, obsolescence, and de-risking management.
Your working environment:
Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities!
How we care for you:
-
Financial rewards: Attractive salary, agreements on success and profit sharing schemes, employee savings plan abounded by Airbus and employee stock purchase plan on a voluntary basis.
Work / Life Balance: Extra days-off for special occasions, holiday transfer option, a Staff council offering many social, cultural and sport activities and other services.
-
Wellbeing / Health: Complementary health insurance coverage (disability, invalidity, death). Depending on the site: health services center, concierge services, gym, carpooling application.
-
Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10.000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, expert career path, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.
At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.
Your challenges:
-
Lead & Guide: Provide permanent expertise, guidance, and support to Procurement employees and suppliers. Cascade critical information via clear directives, guidelines, and custom-built training programs.
-
De-Risk & Anticipate: Manage the Foundation Program by executing day-to-day risk management, identifying regulatory infringements, monitoring obsolescence, and putting corrective actions in place to safeguard operational business continuity.
-
Drive Transformation: Lead specific strategic initiatives and work-packages to ensure long-term value chain circularity and prepare the procurement ecosystem for upcoming environmental milestones.
-
Unify the Front: Identify synergies across diverse Procurement divisions and affiliates to ensure a single, unified corporate front ("1 Voice") toward our global supplier network.
-
Industry Diplomacy: Act as the Procurement representative in key multi-functional teams (MFTs) and, when required, represent Airbus in prestigious external aerospace forums (e.g., IAEG, GIFAS, ASSC) to advocate for substance usage and develop shared industry standards.
Your boarding pass:
-
University degree in Procurement, Engineering, Environment, Health and Safety (), or a technical discipline with an ability to understand how substance regulations impact aerospace products and processes.
-
A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably within Airbus or a similar complex, highly regulated transnational manufacturing environment.
-
Good knowledge of procurement organization and activities, combined with strong project management experience and the technical curiosity to dive deep into chemical/substance regulations and administrative compliance dossiers.
-
A "Connector" and "Team Player" with excellent stakeholder management skills, strong interpersonal communication, and a proven talent for fostering positive dynamics and managing change.
Global Mobility: Fluency in English (German and/or French is a strong plus) and a willingness to travel (~20%) to stay connected with our global production sites
Not a 100% match? No worries! Airbus supports your personal growth with customized development solutions.
