Job description

Role Purpose

Husk Ventures Co. Ltd. (HUSK) is a leading biofertilizer business with a pioneering model to transform rice husk into high quality organic fertilizers to regenerate soils and sequester carbon in Cambodia, Vietnam and beyond. HUSK was registered as a private limited business in Cambodia in 2019 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of HUSK CBF., registered in Singapore www.huskventures.com

As we are growing rapidly we are currently looking for a International Procurement and Logistic specialist with experience in international procurement for the agri-input industry.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers worldwide, with a focus on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with international suppliers to secure the best possible prices and delivery conditions
  • Manages all aspects of procurement, including supply chain, acquisition, distribution, and transportation for international projects
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs clearance, and importing processes
  • Take control of the import and export logistics optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize delays
  • Monitor market trends, supply and demand, and adjust procurement strategies accordingly
  • Conduct cost analysis and drive cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and prepare periodic reports for management
  • Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and forecasts for procurement and logistics
  • Provide professional advice on agricultural inputs and ensure quality standards are met
  • Develop and maintain a supplier database and preferred supplier agreements
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support business objectives and contribute to proposal design and budget development
  • Contribute to the culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Gather insight and coordinate new information from existing and potential suppliers
  • Share insights gathered with R&D and Production if relevant.
  • Manage commodity inventories
  • Support and take lead in export logistics

Key Requirements

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years experience with international procurement in agri input business or feed business.
  • BA degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business.
  • Flexible to changing priorities
  • High sense of accountability and follow-through to achieve set goals
  • Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Experience in working in and with different cultures.
  • Experienced in logistics both import and export

Key skills and knowledge

  • Communication and teamwork: Being a good team player
