Job Profile Summary

Responsible to roles will typically be in shared service; may support multiple businesses. Subject matter experts will generally fall into this category. Continuous communication with Baker Hughes leadership team, local authority and customer / client.

Positions requiring thorough understanding and application of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context.

Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities

  • Individuals with expertise in a specific area, such as industrial hygiene, injury & illness, ergonomics, electrical safety, process safety management, etc. and/or providing general health & safety advice and support for multiple sites or a region. Note: Individuals located a specific site who support only that site should be classified as “Operational, Fixed Facilities,” even if they have a specific area of expertise unless they also support multiple sites or service operations. May include individuals supporting services, projects and construction.
  • Advises Functional managers regarding local regulation, projects, processes and procedures.
  • Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
  • Contributes to project as a team member or leads small projects. Work goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event
     
  • Able to go to Offshore field operation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Health and Safety.
