About the role:
As the Climate Risk Specialist, you will advise JLL clients on climate matters, delivering measures that achieve significant environmental and financial benefits. You'll provide comprehensive support for climate-related disclosure and regulatory compliance while building organisational resilience across extensive property portfolios.
 

This role offers fantastic exposure to the full property lifecycle, with opportunities to embed into leasing, facilities management, procurement, construction and project management.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide leadership and expertise in integrating climate adaptation into new and existing buildings

  • Identify opportunities to modify assets in ways that reduce climate risk and strengthen resilience across the property portfolio

  • Advise on appropriate climate adaptation measures and monitor their implementation status

  • Provide analysis and inputs to support climate reporting obligations

  • Support the identification and assessment of climate-related risks and opportunities for mandatory reporting

  • Maintain current knowledge of climate risk assessment methodologies and best practices

  • Oversee the quality, consistency and auditability of climate data and scenario analysis

  • Collaborate with clients to develop climate practices aligned with their organisational needs and operations
     

Key Skills Required:
 

  • Relevant tertiary education and prior property climate and/or work experience

  • Strong understanding of Australian climate disclosure requirements and standards

  • Expereince with Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), Green Star, or equivalent design frameworks

  • Strong understanding of climate risk and climate adaptation measures for commercial and industrial properties

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines across multiple concurrent tasks

  • Self-motivation with drive to achieve objectives

  • Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
