Job Function

The Private Banking Funds Ops Senior Associate/AVP is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing Funds trades and product life cycle event event transactions  within the Private Banking division. This role involves meticulous trade validation process, exception management, and adherence to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Trade Processing & Validation

• Fund asset creation/modification, trade placement/fund switch and settlement of funds product namely Mutual / Hedge Fund / Private Asset fund

• Servicing of client reverse enquiry request for non-approved funds product, including account onboarding of funds that is new to bank

• Process Corporate Action for funds products including dividend, mandatory redemption and fund merger

• Private Asset fund - Review client subscription documents, perform signature verification, and tally commitment amounts against keyed  orders during private asset launches before submitting to Fund Feeder for the subscriptions

• Private Asset fund -  Process product life cycle event like  capital call,  cash dividend,  return of capital, client notices,  quarterly fund valuation by creating/verifying corresponding events in bank system

Exception Handling & Escalation

• Escalate complex cases or those requiring special handling to the Team Manager, Area Manager and Head of Department for discussion and approval.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and service level agreements, including cut-off timings for trade validation and funding.

• Keeps SOPs updated timely for any process changes.  Maintain accurate records and documentation of all trade-related activities and exceptions.

• Review processes and introduce system improvements for efficiency and controls.   Participates in system’s UAT as and when assigned.

• To engage Business to improve operation processing flow supported by Operation’s team initiatives to ensure Operations process is being assessed before implementation

Requirement

• 5-8 years of experience in a Private banking / Wealth management environment in operation

• Strong understanding of Funds processing

• Proficiency in Avaloq, Excel .

• Familiarity with SWIFT messages (MT502, MT509, MT515, MT564, MT566, MT568, MT599).

• Experience with Bloomberg terminal for data retrieval

• Ability to perform detailed trade validation and reconciliation.

• Good organisational skills

• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving trade discrepancies.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
