This project will focus on the challenges and opportunities of High Voltage Electrical Systems, which are essential for next-generation, low-emission aircraft part of Airbus ambition to electrify the skies.
As part of a fast-paced, agile team, you will help create a unique, state-of-the-art test facility from the ground up. Your mission will be to explore novel HV technologies at their limits and beyond, generating invaluable data and learnings needed to build the robust and reliable aircraft of tomorrow by safely testing the unsafe.

The Bench Integration & Commissioning Engineer (M/F) position is within Airbus UpNext and it consists of a mission linked to the deliverable of the demonstrator (estimated completion date April - 2028), starting ASAP.
Mission:
As the Test Bench Integration and Commissioning Engineer reporting directly to the E2E Bench Manager you will lead the setup, integration, and final commissioning of our cutting edge HV technologies testing platform. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing the test bench from the assembly phase to full operational readiness, ensuring all hardware, instrumentation, power sources, and loads are seamlessly integrated and fully functional.
Your Main Responsibilities:

Systems Integration: Physically and logically integrate diverse hardware components, including programmable power sources, electronic loads, measurement instrumentation and test support systems for control and monitoring.

Commissioning & Tuning: Perform the initial power-up, troubleshooting and fine tuning of the test bench to ensure it meets operational and safety specifications.

Control & Automation: Configure local and remote control interfaces. Assist in integrating PLC, LabVIEW or MATLAB / Simulink models with the physical hardware..

Wiring & Signal Integrity: Oversee and / or execute low-voltage wiring, sensor connections and signal routing, ensuring minimal noise and interference.

Testing & Validation: Define and execute acceptance test bench protocols to validate performance before regular operations begin..

What you bring:

Experience: Proven track record in test bench development, commissioning or system integration within the aerospace, automotive or industrial automation sectors.

Hardware Expertise: Deep understanding of electrical wiring, instrumentation - oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers - and power equipment - AC/DC sources and electronic loads.

Communication Protocols: Familiarity with industrial protocols such as CAN bus, Modbus, Ethernet / IP or EtherCAT.

Test Support System Background: Experience with control and monitoring hardware / software, - e.g: LabVIEW, Matlab, PLC programming - focusing on its integration and set-up.

Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills - ability to diagnose complex hardware / software interaction issues on the fly.

Strong English communication skills. Spanish is a valuable asset.
