Job Description

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will join Mirova's Operations team as a VIE Assistant Fund Controller from 1 January 2025 for 12 months. The team is made up of 15 people who provide day-to-day support to Mirova's fund investment teams. The team is based in France, Luxembourg and the United States. Mirova's funds invest (1) in listed companies and securities and (2) in real assets.

Mirova Luxembourg aims to provide operational support and local multidisciplinary expertise (governance, accounting, tax, legal, administrative, regulatory and compliance) in the administration and supervision of our various investment platforms located in Luxembourg (General Partner(s), Funds, Holdings). The VIE will be based at Mirova's Luxembourg subsidiary, working with all the investment teams.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting the more experienced Fund Controllers on a portfolio of investment funds with their accounting, financial and regulatory monitoring (monitoring all flows in the eFront management tool, securities and cash reconciliations, monitoring fund contracts and charges, monitoring internal and external audits);
• Checking the net asset values prepared by the accountants;
• Contributing to the preparation of investor reports;
• Taking part in investment committees to monitor the entire transaction execution and monitoring chain.

You will support the Head of Operations Luxembourg in the day-to-day management of the Mirova Luxembourg subsidiary. The role will also cover the financial, legal and administrative management of the subsidiary, as well as monitoring its own regulatory calendar.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• 5 years' higher education in audit, financial analysis or accounting.
• Proven experience (internship or work-study) in real asset fund audit, as part of an operations team in a real asset fund management company (infrastructure, private equity or private debt).
• Understanding and desire to develop in the following areas:
  • The life cycle and regulation of Luxembourg alternative investment funds;
  • General accounting and accounting for real asset funds and performance measurement for these funds;
  • Administrative and financial monitoring of a Luxembourg company.
• Excellent interpersonal skills:
  • Autonomous, rigorous and methodical;
  • Organised and willing to take the initiative.
• Fluent in English and French (level C1).
