Sustainability Reporting Manager

The opportunity

Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team is EY is focused on providing advisory services on Climate change mitigation and decarbonization, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), Non-financial reporting and customization and implementation of ESG digital tools like Enablon, MSM among others. The team is also involved in providing Assurance on Non-financial disclosures.

As a manager, you'll be expected to lead a team of professionals while closely work with the global EY teams and their clients. You will work with clients to comprehend the non-financial reporting regulations and/or standards (e.g., GRI, CSRD, SASB, Integrated Reporting, TCFD, CDP, DJSI among others), develop processes and controls and undertake gap assessment, readiness assessment and support relevant disclosure / reporting on identified material ESG issues.

While the Manager will be based out of our Warsaw/Wroclaw office with a hybrid-work option, the individual may be required to travel to other countries (short term rotation) for executing the client engagements.

Your key responsibilities

  • Plan and lead the execution of ESG reporting on various global regulations/standards projects including, but not limited to readiness assessments, reports development, due diligence studies, sustainable supply chain assessment and advisory and ESG Strategy while ensuring a quality output
  • Lead a team of professionals while enabling and enhancing their experience in EY GDS
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder connects with EY global teams
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of global sustainability regulations and awareness of market trends while developing tailored solutions and thought leadership

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in Environmental sciences, Sustainability, Management, Economics, Law & Administration, and other related discipline from reputed Universities
  • 7+ years of experience preferably from consulting background
  • Full-working proficiency in English and German / French as an asset
  • Relevant experience in ESG reporting on various reporting standards / regulations with a focus on GRI, TCFD, EU regulations (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy and SFRD)
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG reporting landscape and developments globally
  • Experience in ESG strategy development, (double) materiality assessment, Impact assessments, Due diligence, supply chain sustainability, among others
  • Certifications in climate change, environment, and sustainability related areas will be an advantage

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience in working for multinationals or in diverse, global environment will be an advantage
  • Excellent and demonstrable team & engagement management, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear messages with stakeholders
  • Excellent MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
