About the Team
We are a team of experienced data professionals spanning Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and Analytics. We work collaboratively across the business to build trusted data foundations, deliver actionable insights, and solve complex problems that help accelerate the transition to clean energy.
About the Role
In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Finance, Product, and Go-to-Market teams to design scalable dbt data models, build intuitive Looker dashboards, and integrate data from a variety of SaaS applications. You'll transform complex datasets into trusted insights that guide business decisions, forecasting, and execution.
You'll collaborate closely with Data Engineering to ensure high-quality, reliable data pipelines while partnering with analytics engineers and analysts to establish and maintain dbt and Looker best practices. As a Staff-level individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director of Analytics, you'll play a key role in shaping Aurora's analytics foundation and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.
Your Impact

Design, build, and evolve scalable dbt data models that accurately represent company KPIs and business metrics.

Develop and maintain intuitive Looker dashboards that enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Partner with Finance, Product, Go-to-Market, and other cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.

Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure reliable, high-quality data is available for reporting and analysis.

Partner with analytics engineers and analysts to establish dbt and Looker best practices, perform quality on data models and dashboards, and support analytics needs across the organization.

Analyze complex datasets to uncover actionable insights that improve business performance, forecasting, and operational decision-making.

Help scope, prioritize, and execute analytics initiatives that deliver measurable value across the company.
What You Bring
-
4+ years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, or a similar data-focused role using SQL to develop data models and generate business insights.

2+ years of experience working with dbt and Looker in a production environment.

Strong experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable dbt models and Looker dashboards based on business and performance requirements.

Advanced SQL and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently solve complex data challenges.

Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis, troubleshoot data issues, and support complex data modeling workflows.

Experience owning the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, including data modeling, validation, quality , and delivery of trusted reporting.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and independently drive projects from concept through implementation.
Nice to Haves

Experience building forecasting models using Python.

Experience supporting Finance, Revenue Operations, or SaaS business analytics.

Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.

Familiarity with Fivetran or similar ELT tools.

This allows for financial growth within the role as the employee builds experience and displays a track record of performance success at Aurora.
Our current base pay ranges in each zone are:

Tier 1: San Francisco, CA - New York, NY: $163,500 - $216,700

Tier 2: Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Boston, San Diego: $149,800 - $198,600

Tier 3: All Other US Locations, including Colorado: $136,200 - $180,600
