Job description

POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Technical Senior Product Manager in the Research Technologies department, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of IT projects across our portfolio of platforms. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring technical feasibility, and aligning development efforts with business goals. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Roadmap and Strategy: Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap that aligns with business objectives and technological advancements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality IT projects.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond. This includes planning, development, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Platform Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of multiple platforms, ensuring their scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Technical Requirements: Translate business needs into technical requirements, functional specifications, and detailed workflow diagrams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, QA, and operations, to ensure cohesive and efficient product development.
  • Backlog Prioritization: Manage and prioritize the product backlog, creating and refining user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria based on technical feasibility and business impact.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and continuous communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.
  • Project Management: Implement robust project management practices to ensure key milestones and deadlines are met, and oversee the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor platform performance, conduct technical reviews, and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, track, and resolve technical issues promptly, coordinating with support and engineering teams to minimize disruptions.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Ensure comprehensive documentation of technical requirements, workflows, and project changes, and promote best practices within the team.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to other product managers and team members. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product management team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in technical product management, with a focus on delivering IT projects for complex platforms.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with experience in software development, system architecture, and IT infrastructure.
  • Agile Methodologies: Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in business English, with strong oral and writing skills, capable of effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong interpersonal skills, and experience managing and motivating cross-functional technical teams.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the financial services industry, especially related to SRI/RI markets.
  • Sustainability Passion: Passion for global sustainability issues such as environmental protection or human rights.
  • Advanced Tools Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with other product management and technical tools.
  • Additional Experience: Experience with knowledge management and knowledge engineering concepts.
