TÜV SÜD is seeking a Senior Life Cycle Assessment Consultant to join our Sustainability Services team in the UK. The role involves conducting customer projects related to sustainability, including carbon footprint calculations, life cycle assessments, energy audits, environmental product declarations, and sustainability audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct life cycle assessments and carbon footprint calculations for various clients
• Perform verification of carbon footprint statements against international standards
• Contribute to the development of new business areas in sustainability
• Collaborate with teams across the TÜV SÜD group
• Travel occasionally for business meetings and events (less than 10% of the time)

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Science or related field (2:1 or 1st)
• Strong track record in Product Carbon Footprint and Life Cycle Assessment projects
• Experience in creating and reviewing LCAs to ISO 14044, ISO 14040, and relevant Product Category Rules
• Knowledge of carbon footprinting standards (ISO 14067, PAS 2050, GHG Protocol)
• Proficiency in LCA software such as GaBi, OpenLCA, or SimaPro
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a distributed team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Higher degree (MSc or PhD) in Environmental Science or related field
• Knowledge of energy systems and the Energy Transition
• Full UK driving license
