Job description

Job Summary:

The Safety Transformation Lead will be responsible for working with our clients to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs aimed at transforming and enhancing workplace safety culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for safety, a strong background in safety management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. As a trusted expert in your field, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping clients optimize their processes, manage risks cost-effectively and ensure safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development and Client Management

  • Take a leadership position in business development with existing and new clients as well as winning work.
  • Focus on ERM's Safety Transformation Services offering.
  • Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to develop winning client approaches.

People Management

  • Assist in developing a technically strong team and oversee continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and assist with practice networks around ERM.
  • Improve or maintain development, training, engagement, and retention of staff.
  • Create a culture around H&S that leads to incident-free operations.
  • Mentor team members to become effective Safety Transformation consultants.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees.

Project Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of solutions in safety culture, behavioral-based safety, PSM, or operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement safety strategies aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Drive innovation in safety practices and technologies.
  • Facilitate safety culture workshops and coaching sessions with senior management.
  • Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Psychology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management or management consulting.
  • Proven track record of leading safety transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
