Project Manager / Managing Consultant - Environmental Approvals (Perth)
ERM is seeking motivated Project Manager with an environmental consulting background to join our team in Perth to support our services to the mining and future energy sector (hydrogen, ammonia and renewables). The ideal candidate will bring project management experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams to support permitting and approvals (both at state and commonwealth levels).

As such, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for consulting on project permitting and approvals to support our sustainable business locally, while networking with ERM's global teams to share best practices across the industries.

Responsibilities:
Candidates will lead and/or support a wide variety of mining projects or future energy projects related to capital project development, environmental permitting, mine closure planning / decommissioning as well as the development of associated management plans. Responsibilities will include to:
- Oversees projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet all scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
- Collaborate with other ERM national and global practitioners to execute projects.
- Manage teams composed of multi-disciplinary professionals from various offices around Australia and potentially ERM globally.
- Contribute to proposal development, including cost estimates in accordance with ERM's policies and processes.
- Project management activities related to projects, including task delegation and direction, subcontractor management, health & safety protocol management, monitoring of commercial performance, quality review of deliverables, and interaction with clients.
- Work with our clients to achieve the favorable project outcome.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in science, environmental management, planning or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in project managing environmental approval and permitting for major capital projects (i.e., new mines or expansions, hydrogen and renewable energy developments).
- Experience in Microsoft project and various project management related cost tracking tools (excel).
- Strong knowledge of capital project management and experience working as part of an integrated team.
- Consulting industry experience highly desirable.
