Job description
ERM is seeking a Program Analyst to support multi-disciplinary client accounts in Northern California (remote, hybrid, or in office). The Program Analyst will support the account team with program and project financial analysis. This includes tracking of expenses and billings, the review of existing commercial terms, data management, preparation of accrual and financial forecasts, deliverable review, and miscellaneous project administrative tasks.
ERM's rapidly growing programs perform services that include, environmental compliance, regulatory strategy, strategic consulting, environmental remediation, environmental construction, safety consulting, capital project delivery, and digital services. The Program Analyst will support various program management personnel within a Key Account team that contribute to program delivery as well as the interdisciplinary teams that deliver projects within the defined program.
This individual will have an attention to detail, bias for commercial success, be results oriented, and can respond to client requirements and requests in a rapid and efficient manner. Prior experience supporting programs over $5M in revenue per year and work within a professional services consulting industry is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support program management staff with program controls, finance, resourcing and planning.
- Monthly reconciliation and accrual forecasting with estimate to completes.
- Analyze data to make sure it conforms to client needs.
- Help project staff understand and execute the programs billing processes and procedures.
- Track individual program components to ensure financial accuracy.
- Develop processes that help manage data between ERM and client systems.
- Assist with the management of subcontractors across project workstreams within the program.
- Assist with the development and execution of effective plans of action to improve financial performance for existing programs.
- Support the development of new processes and governance to adapt to rapidly evolving program needs.
- Communicate internally and externally with the ERM and client project teams.
- Assist with analyzing program financial and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with senior management to resolve negative variances.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees.
- Develop a working understanding of ERM's consulting practice areas.
- Support the general growth and development of the Program and ERM's Managed Services offerings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, document review, and project coordination.
- Proficiency with excel and financial management systems.
- Demonstrated excellence to assist with programs that achieve client objectives.
- Proven ability to support cross-functional teams.
- Ability to use financial data to develop forecasts.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced consulting environment, multiple priorities, and strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work with all levels of management and employees to promote a culture of safety.
