- Lead energy management programs across a dynamic real estate portfolio, driving continuous improvement and building a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Identify and advance opportunities — from data analysis through to client approval — positioning the business at the forefront of the energy transition.
- Proactively pursue utility rebates and government incentive programs to maximise value for clients.
- Monitor and manage factors affecting energy consumption, coordinating solutions across teams and optimising Building Management Systems to industry best practice.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on energy supply, demand, and performance reporting, maintaining strong and reliable client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, consolidating data and managing timely, accurate submissions on behalf of clients.
- Develop and present business cases for energy reduction initiatives, including innovative pilot projects with clear ROI, cost, and savings analysis.
- Maintain energy action plans in Envizi — tracking costs, savings, and verified outcomes with rigorous supporting analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional JLL teams (Real Estate, Finance, Projects, FM, and Procurement) to deliver seamless, integrated solutions.
- Build and sustain meaningful relationships with key client stakeholders through proactive governance and clear communication.
- Champion success stories across the energy and program to inspire engagement and demonstrate impact.
- Contribute to the broader JLL Energy and Services team, sharing knowledge and shaping strategic direction.
- Ensure all operations comply with applicable environmental legislation and company standards.
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 audits and regulatory assessments, managing follow-up actions and documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison between corporate teams and on-the-ground facilities management.
Working Arrangements
- 100% WFH from anywhere in Japan
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English is essential for this role
Required skills:
- Energy & Literacy — Familiarity with energy management, environmental and/or reporting frameworks exposure is a plus.
- Environmental & Regulatory Awareness — A genuine interest in and efficiency outcomes within commercial real estate
- Possess, administration and communication skills and have a strong customer service focus.
- Proactive with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Possess some exposure to building services maintenance & facilities management.
- Ability to deal with a variety of issues concurrently, within tight operational deadlines
- Knowledge or exposure to building/facilities management would be advantageous although not essential
- Highly organised with verbal and written communication skills
- Efficient keyboard and data entry skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet research skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and grasp new concepts
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills- possesses strong verbal & written communication skills, also an active listener
- Bilingual Communication- proficiency in both Japanese and English for effective collaboration with regulatory bodies, clients, and global teams.
- Experience in facilities, property management, hospitality or related field preferable
