The Opportunity
ERM has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Marine Consultant with 10+ years' experience to join our growing team. You will be leading environmental approvals for major projects, with a focus on offshore energy and carbon capture and storage projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead environmental impact assessment projects and complex approvals processes
- Project manage multiple projects within scope and budget
- Ensure quality standards on project deliverables
- Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients
- Mentor junior and mid-level consulting staff
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar
- Minimum 10 years' experience in environmental approvals
- Familiarity with Commonwealth and State environmental legislation
- Experience in environmental management and stakeholder engagement
- Well-developed team building and influencing skills
- Solid experience building sustaining relationships with major clients
- Excellent writing, communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and people skills
- Authorization to work in Australia
