Job description

The Partnerships & Alliances Director is responsible for the execution, growth, and management of regional partnerships and alliances. The Director of Alliances aligns their team to cross functional go-to-market initiatives on a regional and solution basis while setting objectives to promote growth through the partnership ecosystem.

What You'll do

Leadership and Execution:

  • 10 years in a partner/alliance management or business development role, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Strong business background, with significant client interface experience and exposure to business development
  • Build business plans for establishing key partnerships within region; identify new target engagements and maintain a strict cadence to drive revenue
  • Ensure partnership team objectives align with business objectives, including clear plans on how to achieve them
  • Understand partners' end markets, and using competitive insights to create actionable partner plans and leveraging/extending product nuances into strategic recommendations to deliver success within vertical markets
  • Drive partner adoption by engaging with high-level executives and strategic thinkers

Operational Excellence:

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative metrics and insights to evaluate progress and key results
  • Align the team's priorities with internal stakeholders across the region on go-to-market strategies and needs
  • Collaborate cross functionally to establish, lead and implement innovative strategies and programs
  • Drive innovation and change to ensure Workiva partnership initiatives are in line with best-in-class SaaS and B2B benchmarks

What You'll Need

Minimum qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 2 years of experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-learner with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
  • The ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment is necessary
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to participate effectively in cross-functional teams and work well in a matrixed management environment
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
