ERM (Environmental Resources Management) is the world's leading environmental, health, safety, and sustainability consulting firm. We are seeking a Managing Consultant Environment ICPE for our SSO (Safety, Hygiene, Security, and Environment) team in Paris, France.

Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate with 7-12 years of experience in:

  • Analyzing compliance with environmental regulations
  • Preparing files related to ICPE/IED regulations
  • Improving environmental performance
  • Writing reports on various environmental and sustainable development diagnostics and assessments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on new European regulations (CSRD, CSDDD, water, circularity, waste, air pollution)
  • Conduct environmental diagnostics and help clients implement resulting action plans
  • Perform audits based on French regulations or client standards
  • Design and implement customized solutions to improve environmental performance
  • Engage at all levels of an organization to accelerate sustainability performance transformation
  • Manage projects within budget and timeline
  • Prepare high-quality deliverables under expert supervision
  • Maintain and develop effective client relationships
  • Collaborate closely with other ERM employees

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of French environmental regulations (especially ICPE, IED, Seveso, MCP)
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear technical writing
  • Ability to influence and demonstrate sound judgment
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Availability for travel up to 50% of the time
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in environment, environmental engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in consulting or substantial experience in the industrial sector
  • Understanding of the industry and key client companies
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects and teams
  • Established technical expertise and local market reputation
