Job description

As a Financial Services Sustainability Manager, you'll immerse yourself in the dynamic realm of ESG regulations, staying ahead of latest developments EU ESG regulatory requirements for financial institutions. In addition to guiding clients on ESG matters, like CSRD, EU SFDR, and Taxonomy Regulation, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our ESG services. Expect to lead the charge in applying state-of-the-art techniques in sustainability practices, climate risk management, and sustainable financial products.

Your responsibilities:

  • Decode and communicate intricate ESG regulatory requirements within the framework of non-financial reporting processes
  • Stay ahead of market trends and emerging ESG regulations, infusing fresh and practical insights into client engagements
  • Engage in business discussions and workshops with clients
  • Direct the execution of ESG-related projects with financial institutions
  • Conduct comprehensive ESG gap analyses against evolving standards and regulations
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for ESG compliance and operational efficiency
  • Supervising teams and reporting directly to senior staff

Skills And Qualifications:

  • University degree or extensive practical experience in environmental science (with a focus on waste management, decarbonization, energy efficiency, or carbon footprint), banking/insurance business and economics, financial and non- financial reporting, or other ESG-related disciplines
  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience in sustainability regulatory requirements and/or financial institutions
  • Good knowledge of the sustainability reporting frameworks (CSRD and/or GRI) standard is a plus
  • Strong research, analytical and report writing skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • High proficiency in English
  • Excellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness
