ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manager to lead high-impact advisory engagements across India's clean energy ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in , a strong consulting track record, and the credibility to engage CXOs, developers, investors, and policymakers across the full energy transition value chain.

DEEP DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Stakeholder & Sector Exposure

Demonstrated experience engaging CXOs, project developers, institutional investors, and policymakers across:

  • Solar PV – utility-scale, C&I, and rooftop segments
  • Wind – onshore dynamics and offshore emerging trends
  • Hybrid Projects – solar + wind + BESS integrated configurations
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – technology, economics, and market positioning
  • Green Hydrogen and derivatives – ammonia, methanol, and offtake structures
  • Certificates (RECs) – trading, compliance, and value chain
  • Carbon Markets – voluntary and compliance carbon credits, project origination
  • Open Access & Captive Power – regulatory navigation and commercial models
  • Corporate PPAs & Green Power Procurement – structuring and negotiation
  • Energy Transition Strategies – decarbonization pathways, net-zero planning

Regulatory & Policy Landscape

Exposure to India's evolving energy regulatory framework is preferred, including:

  • SECI auction processes and bid structures
  • ISTS policies, open access frameworks, and waiver mechanisms
  • Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO) – state-wise compliance tracking
  • Electricity Act amendments and their commercial implications

STRATEGY & CONSULTING CAPABILITIES

Proven ability to lead and deliver across the full consulting lifecycle:

  • Market assessment and opportunity sizing
  • Growth strategy and market entry advisory
  • Commercial due diligence for transactions and investments
  • Business case development and financial modelling
  • Investment attractiveness studies and sector benchmarking
  • Decarbonization roadmap design
  • Net-zero strategy and science-based target alignment
  • Operating model design for energy businesses
  • Policy impact assessments and regulatory advisory

COMMERCIAL & FINANCIAL ACUMEN

  • Working knowledge of project finance fundamentals in the context
  • Understanding of RE project economics – tariff structures, IRR/NPV drivers, debt structuring
  • Ability to critically review financial models and investment cases

GOOD TO HAVE

& Climate Frameworks

  • Familiarity with net-zero frameworks, accounting, and reporting standards
  • Experience with climate risk assessment methodologies

Energy Data & Digital Tools

  • Hands-on exposure to energy data analytics, smart grid systems, and ADMS platforms
  • Working knowledge of AI-based energy forecasting and IoT applications in renewables
  • Proficiency with power system modelling tools such as PLEXOS or equivalent
  • Experience with weather data analysis, demand forecasting, and SLDC integration protocols

Power Market Instruments

  • Understanding of power market mechanisms – DAM, TAM, G-DAM, derivatives, and banking
  • Hands-on familiarity with RE PPAs, SECI tenders, RTC, FDRE, and CFD contractual clauses
