Job description

ERM is seeking a motivated and capable Perth-based Geologist to join our team and support projects across Australia and internationally. This role is ideal for a geologist with 1–5 years of industry experience who enjoys fieldwork, technical problem-solving and working collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ERM’s high standards for health and safety, and technical excellence.

  • Plan and execute exploration field programs.

  • Conduct and oversee drilling programs, ensuring strong safety performance and adherence to QA/QC protocols.

  • Collect, validate and manage geological, geochemical and spatial datasets.

  • Undertake geological mapping, sampling and field investigations.

  • Interpret geological data and contribute to technical reporting and client deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain GIS databases and spatial analyses.

  • Support 3D geological modelling and visualization.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental, mining and projects.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline.

  • 1-5 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Demonstrated field competency in:

    • Drill program supervision

    • Sampling programs

    • Geological mapping

    • QA/QC implementation and monitoring

    • Field safety and risk management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork as required.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work across a variety of projects.

Highly Valued:

  • Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS and/or QGIS).

  • Experience using Leapfrog Geo for 3D geological modelling and interpretation.

  • Exposure to geochemistry, mineral resource evaluation or exploration targeting.

  • Experience working with environmental consulting projects.

  • Reporting experience in accordance with industry standards (JORC familiarity advantageous).
