Job description

About the role:

The Analyst will be part of Product Involvement Research team, one of the research teams responsible for delivering Morningstar Sustainalytics' suite of ESG products. The Product Involvement Research team is responsible for delivering Morningstar Sustainalytics' research on company involvement in products and services which allows clients to screen according to specific criteria motivated by ethical, impact, compliance, ESG risk or other investment considerations.

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely and in-depth screening, research and review for companies involved or potentially involved in environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
  • Prepare and present proposals for company assessment changes to the Research Lead.
  • Manage pre and post publication issuer communication and feedback.
  • Prepare product deliverables' and participate in quality assurance processes prior to the research delivery, as necessary.
  • Support the Research Lead in responding to client queries about our research, as necessary.
  • Support the Research Lead with coordination of business processes and research publication, or lead coordination minor projects.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the organization to provide relevant/needed information about the research status, as necessary.
  • Contribute to methodology/guidance development and/or testing/implementation of new research.
  • Quickly learn and integrate new skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Business English oral and writing skills are essential.
  • Good research, analytical and writing capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resourceful, flexible and embraces change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity for self-directed learning to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • ESG research, sustainability research and/or finance are considered an asset.
  • Alignment with Morningstar Sustainalytics' mission, vision and values.
