Job description
ERM is looking for an environmental approvals consultant with around 4 to 6 years of experience in Queensland who understands how major projects get approved and enjoys helping clients navigate the process.
We're particularly interested in people who have worked on or aspire to work on a mix of coal seam gas, , electricity transmission, infrastructure or bespoke projects and have practical experience dealing with environmental and planning approvals.
This is not a graduate role and it's not a project manager role, but there is a clear path to career progression. We're looking for an early career professional who knows the approvals process, can think critically, write clearly, and work directly with clients and regulators.
What you'll do

Manage and support environmental and planning approvals for major projects.

Prepare approval applications, impact assessment documentation and supporting reports.

Coordinate technical specialists and consolidate their inputs into approval documents.

Work directly with clients, regulators and project teams.

Help develop approvals strategies and solve problems as projects evolve.

Support proposals and business development opportunities when required.

Work across , transmission, CSG, mining and infrastructure projects.
What we're looking for
-
4 to 6 years' experience in environmental planning, approvals or impact assessment.

Appropriate academic qualifications.

Experience with Commonwealth and State approvals processes.

Exposure to CSG, renewables, transmission, mining or major infrastructure projects.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well with technical teams.

Consulting experience is advantageous but not essential.
