Job description

ERM is hiring multiple Electric Transmission Capital Project Managers to lead the development and execution of complex electric transmission infrastructure projects for electric utility clients in the Greater Baltimore area. This role is responsible for guiding capital projects through the utility's EPC execution process. Potential projects will include greenfield transmission lines and substations, as well as transmission line rebuilds, substation expansions, and other system upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Direct and manage project execution
  • Coordinate and lead project team meetings
  • Monitor project progress
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications
  • Prepare and present project reports
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Manage project budgets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital project management within the electric transmission industry
  • Strong knowledge of electric transmission systems
  • Familiarity with project permitting processes in the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Proficiency in project management software (Microsoft Projects or P6 preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 2 years, renewable.
