The Kraft Heinz Company is one of the leading food businesses in the world which produces countless iconic brands. In Elst it's manufacturing plant we produce a wide range of sauces such as Heinz Ketchup, Heinz Mayonnaise, HP sauces and Sandwich Spread. Did you know that more than 650 million bottles of Heinz Ketchup are sold every year? These are made in our factory in Elst! The factory in Elst is also Kraft Heinz's largest factory in Europe.
Currently we have a great opportunity open as EHS Manager. As EHS Manager you will be part of the site leadership team in Elst and will be leading a team of EHS Specialists. The EHS Manager will be responsible for the site risk management processes on environmental safety and sustainability and drives a culture of safety in the factory. You'll make sure that all supervisors and operational employees are trained on the safety procedures and ensure they work in compliance with company and state regulations.
In short, your responsibilities will be amongst others,
- Lead the establishment of the 4 core safety values and the 4 safety leadership principles across all levels of the site organization and external stakeholders.
- Lead the development of site risk management processes to ensure compliance to relevant legislation, corporate standards, policies and targets.
- Lead the development of robust annual improvement plans for the Heinz Safety Process (HSP), Business Continuity Management (BCM), Environmental, Asset Conservation, Facility Security and Sustainability.
- Lead the attainment and thereafter annual maintenance of certification to ISO14001 Environmental Standard.
- Development of strategic plans to deliver continuous improvement in risk management performance.
- Leading processes that improve management competence and raise commitment to cultivate a proactive safety culture.
- Taking the lead when dealing with regulatory enforcing authorities and insurance companies in all matters relating to health and safety.
- Direct the activities of the site security team and deliver compliance to the Heinz Corporate standards for facility security.
- Lead the development of improvement plans for site sustainability and utility reduction
- Control and manage the ORM/EHS budget
- Developing the EHS team.
Educational / professional background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, e.g. Process Safety, Safety, Environmental studies or related studies
- Professional Safety Qualifications.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment
