Job description
Job Summary
The Country Sustainability Lead will be responsible for the Thailand Sustainability agenda. Key responsibilities include:
Strategy
- Lead Sustainability agenda and drive Sustainable Finance
- Ensure public disclosures and policies align with internal practices
- Lead Sustainable Finance & Climate Risk Forum or working group
Business
- Champion implementation of the delivery plan within each business and function
- Provide disclosure and articulate strategic changes
- Participate in diligence sessions and represent the company externally
- Execute the Stand on Accelerating Zero
- Champion Sustainability at industry level
- Identify areas of collaboration for sustainable products and client propositions
- Support external engagement and marketing
- Provide periodic reporting to Committees and Board
- Represent SCB at various meetings and workshops
- Lead implementation of BOT's Standard Practice

- Oversee data management capabilities and tools
- Formulate and align local policies and procedures
People & Talent
- Lead by example and build appropriate culture and values
- Ensure ongoing training and development
Risk Management
- Manage and escalate Risk Management matters
- Oversee climate-related risks management
- Resolve audit and compliance issues
- Facilitate standardized classification and reporting of climate-related exposures
Governance
- Assess effectiveness of governance arrangements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory framework
- Provide oversight on reporting, regulatory compliance, and monitoring of climate initiatives
Skills and Experience
- 5 to 10 years of progressive banking experience
- Strong communication skills at executive level
- Experience working with key stakeholders and leaders
- Competency in cross-group collaboration, analytical thinking, and strategic development
- Strong organizational and execution skills
Qualifications
- Banking experience in Corporates, operational or project management
- Competency in business acumen, markets, industry knowledge, client relationship management, and sustainable development
