At ERM, as a Consulting Senior Associate, Technical Due Diligence / Infrastructure, based in Houston, TX or Manhattan, NY, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, , and finance—helping global clients make smarter, more sustainable investment choices.

This role is critical in helping investors and operators understand technical risks, operational performance, and long-term value—ensuring smarter, more resilient investment decisions across infrastructure and energy assets.
What Your Impact Is:
- Support high-profile transaction advisory projects for infrastructure funds, private equity firms, banks, and energy companies
- Contribute to buy-side, sell-side, and project financing due diligence that influences major investment outcomes
- Help expand ERM’s Infrastructure M&A service line, strengthening our position in a fast-growing market
- Collaborate with a global network of 80+ M&A consultants, SMEs, and Partners
- Deliver insights that balance technical rigor, commercial viability, and considerations
What You'll Bring:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or similar). Or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in technical consulting, engineering, or operations within energy or infrastructure sectors
- Strong ability to analyze technical documentation and identify risks/opportunities related to:
- Asset integrity
- Operational performance
- Management systems
- Business plans
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- High attention to quality and commitment to delivering accurate, client-ready outputs
- Experience understanding and breaking down process flow diagrams.

Preferred
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- Experience managing or supporting complex, multi-workstream projects
- Exposure to technical due diligence or transaction advisory
- Corporate finance qualification or strong commercial awareness
- Understanding of Capex and Opex cost structures for infrastructure and energy assets
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of proposals, including scopes of work, schedules, and commercial terms
- Execute technical due diligence projects, providing operational, technical, and business plan evaluations
- Coordinate project activities, including:
- Q&A processes
- Management sessions
- Client meetings
- Final report delivery
- Collaborate with ERM’s technical experts and external SMEs to deliver integrated project outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Infrastructure M&A service line
- Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and client communication throughout project delivery
For the Consulting Senior Associate, Technical Due Diligence / Infrastructure position, the anticipated annual base pay is $76,010–$100,058 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D insurance, 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP, and other applicable benefits to eligible employees.
