ERM France, which currently has 180 employees spread between Paris and Lyon, is experiencing strong growth. We are recruiting for our SSO (Safety, Hygiene, Security and Environment) team a Consulting Director.

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced health and safety professional to support our team in France. This role will revolve around two pillars:

1. Support our clients in improving the maturity of their safety culture and in their transformation as a subject matter expert
2. Develop our safety services offering in France in collaboration with partners and senior business executives

You will work closely with an ERM team composed of employees across Europe and beyond, providing safety expertise support to local ERM teams, while ensuring the technical accuracy of deliverables before sending them to the client.

You will be fluent in French and English, and comfortable communicating and working with a wide range of cultures and nationalities (proficiency in other European languages is a significant asset).

You will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of an industry such as manufacturing, food processing, chemicals, or energy, and you will have shown your ability to sell complex operational consulting services at the executive level to large industrial clients.

You will intervene as a subject matter expert on several of the following topics: behavioral safety, workplace safety, safety culture, and/or culture change. Knowledge of process safety management would be a plus.

You will actively interact with clients during meetings, interviews, and be a trusted partner to work directly with them on implementing effective solutions. You will design and facilitate training/coaching workshops at client sites.

You are a human-centered leader, able to use your expertise to identify industry themes, trends, and challenges, then guide clients and create constructive discussions. The ideal candidate will be able to personally coach clients, drawing on extensive field experience. Additionally, they will play a key role in developing and expanding our coaching services, ensuring our clients receive top-tier advice and support.

This role requires a dynamic leader capable of inspiring and elevating both our team and our clients. You have the ability to manage projects and teams composed of diverse and distant consultants, guiding them to achieve business and client objectives. You have a natural enthusiasm for sharing your knowledge and mentoring junior team members and newcomers.

Profile:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in health and safety, with excellent knowledge of safety culture maturity development and coaching
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in industry or consulting
• Experience in project management and client liaison
• Candidates must be motivated, independent, able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, and determined to provide the highest quality services to our clients
