At ERM, as a Consulting Associate, Environmental Health and Safety () Generalist, based in St. Louis, Missouri, you’ll step into a role that blends technical expertise with real-world impact. You’ll partner with leading organizations across the technology and transportation sectors, helping them navigate complex regulatory landscapes, reduce risk, and embed into their operations. What You’ll Bring:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 0-1 years of experience, ideally in technology, data centers, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and travel locally up to 60% of the time
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area
  • Local candidates only

Preferred

  • Certifications such as ASP, EIT, CHMM, OSHA30, or similar
  • Familiarity with compliance programs and management systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with compliance, , and due diligence transaction projects
  • Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater programs
  • Conduct compliance assessments and implement corrective actions to meet federal, state, and local regulations
  • Support development of compliance and management system programs
  • Provide on-site compliance support to clients as needed
  • Perform Phase I environmental site assessments for property transfers
  • Conduct environmental fieldwork and audits, including sampling and ecological studies
  • Carry out inspections, incident investigations, safety observations, job safety analyses, and risk assessments based on OSHA requirements
  • Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client service
