Job description

ERM is seeking a motivated Consultant, Engineer/Geologist/Scientist, who is interested in participating on a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM's services, to join our consulting firm in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on contaminated site management, environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, air quality, and due diligence transaction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance on site investigation and remediation, EHS compliance, air quality management, and due diligence transaction projects
  • Conduct field work, including subcontractor oversight, utility clearance, soil and bedrock drilling, monitoring well installation, and various sampling techniques
  • Assist in project activity planning, and health and safety planning and oversight
  • Prepare plans, permits, and reports for site characterization, hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, and wastewater programs
  • Perform Phase I and II environmental site assessments
  • Provide general environmental compliance support to clients
  • Support multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science or related field
  • 2+ years relevant environmental experience including environmental field work
  • Willingness/interest in field assignments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension
  • Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, travel, and work independently
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

Preferred:

  • GIT/PG certification
  • Local candidates
