Job description
Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is one of the world's leading players in consulting and technical assistance for environmental, social, safety, and risk management issues. With a presence in 40 countries and over 5000 employees, it offers an international perspective combined with local experience and knowledge.
We are looking for a motivated junior engineer to join our "Contaminated Sites and Soils" team in Paris or Lyon. You will work on interesting and large-scale projects (environmental investigations and decontamination sites) throughout France and possibly abroad.
What you will do:
- Field activities (soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling)
- Supervision of subcontractors and decontamination works
- Analysis and interpretation of environmental data
- Project execution in teams under the supervision and guidance of the project manager
- Writing detailed technical reports
Frequent travel is required, and English is a major asset.
Your profile:
- Master's degree in geology-hydrology or similar field
- 0-1 year of experience (including internship or work-study), interest in field missions (experience in environmental fieldwork is a plus)
- Excellent level of French (oral and written, necessary for report writing) and a correct level of English
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; experience in writing technical reports is an asset
- Autonomous, rigorous, and appreciate teamwork
- Availability for frequent travel in France (or abroad) depending on the health context
- Valid driver's license
- Lively and proactive, with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, flexible, open to travel in France and abroad, ability to work autonomously
- Strong commitment to hygiene and safety, including compliance with established protocols
