Job description

Carbon Auditor

Your tasks

The candidate will be responsible for conducting validation and verification of greenhouse gas assertions and energy audit. We welcome candidates who are keen to take up regional exposure and the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct energy audits and carbon emission verification according to the requirements of project, certification body and accreditation body.
  • Depending on suitability, you will be assigned to conduct verifications or audits for the following areas:
    • Greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions – ISO 14064
    • Customised verification and assessment
  • Ensure timely completion of audit or verification and submission of reports.
  • Support development of new products & services in the area of Environment and Sustainability
  • Involve in periodical technical exchange to improve audit and verification process

Your qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor degree in Chemical/ Environmental Engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in any of the following industries such as Downstream oil and gas or Bulk and speciality chemicals
  • The incumbent should be experienced in Green House Gas (GHG) programmes
  • Possess minimum of three (3) years' experience with GHG emissions and performing GHG verifications and/or developing GHG inventories/projects at a reasonable level of assurance in accredited GHG programs
  • Candidate with UN Clean Development Mechanism qualification is most preferred. Other related accredited GHG programs will also be considered (eg. ISO 14064, PAS 2050, PAS 2060, EU Emissions Trading System & etc.).
  • Minimum of two (2) years auditing experience in Quality, Environmental and Energy Management Systems preferred.
  • Experience in performing verification activities for GHG facility Emission Reports
  • Completed 1 year of verification engagement as lead verifier under another recognised accreditation body preferred
