Polish logistics company innovating in sustainable last-mile delivery and reducing carbon emissions

InPost operates one of Europe's largest networks of automated parcel lockers (Paczkomaty), allowing consumers to collect and send parcels at self-service kiosks rather than relying on home delivery. The company serves e-commerce retailers and individual senders across Poland and several other European markets.

Why it matters

Out-of-home delivery consolidates parcel drops - one locker services many recipients in a single stop, cutting the number of individual delivery van journeys compared to door-to-door delivery. This reduces last-mile emissions per parcel. InPost has also launched the Green City Program, which appears focused on expanding locker placement in urban areas and partnering with municipalities and businesses to further reduce urban delivery traffic and associated emissions.

InPost is headquartered in Krakow, Poland, and operates tens of thousands of locker machines, making it one of the most widely used parcel infrastructure networks in Central Europe.
