inoqo is a software-as-a-service platform built for grocery retailers and food and beverage brands. It pulls together publicly available and proprietary product data into an AI-driven algorithm to calculate the environmental footprint of thousands of F&B products across their full life cycle - covering farming, production, transport, storage, and retail.

Why it matters

Food systems are a major driver of greenhouse gas emissions, and most of those emissions sit in scope 3 - deep in the supply chain, at the ingredient and farming level. inoqo gives retailers and brands a scalable way to measure product-level carbon footprints, identify emission hotspots, and act on them. One user example from the platform shows that refining ingredient sourcing and processing energy cut CO2 emissions by up to two-thirds in some products. The platform also generates consumer-facing impact labels, helping shoppers make more informed choices at the point of purchase.

inoqo recently merged with Mondra to expand its product intelligence capabilities. Its customers include grocery retailers and F&B brands across Europe.
