Atrius, a product line of Acuity Brands (NYSE: AYI), provides a suite of cloud applications for managing commercial and institutional buildings. Its platform connects data from disparate building systems into a unified layer, then surfaces that data through purpose-built apps covering energy management, facilities monitoring, indoor wayfinding, and asset tracking.

Why it matters

The built environment is a major source of energy consumption and carbon emissions. Atrius addresses this directly through two products: Atrius Energy, which centralizes portfolio-wide energy data to identify waste and optimize consumption, and Atrius Sustainability, which automates carbon accounting and generates data for mandated sustainability reporting.
